Traverse Brackets

Morgik / Traverse Rods / Traverse Brackets
Traverse brackets must support both decorative hardware and the mechanical systems that make draperies operate. Morgik manufactures traverse specific brackets in our Paterson, New Jersey facility, engineered for the loads and clearances these systems require. Every bracket is designed to work with our traverse rod systems.

Traverse Bracket Requirements

Traverse systems place unique demands on mounting hardware:

Combined Load Support – Bearing the weight of decorative rod, traverse track, carriers, and drapery fabric.
Mechanism Clearance – Providing space for pulleys, cords, or baton attachments to operate freely.
Track Alignment – Maintaining precise positioning for smooth carrier travel.

Bracket Types

End Brackets – Support the rod ends and anchor the traverse mechanism. These carry the highest loads and must be securely mounted to structure.
Center Support Brackets – Intermediate brackets preventing track deflection on long spans. Essential for spans over 6 feet.
Ceiling Mount Brackets – Suspend traverse systems from above when wall mounting isn’t practical or desired.
Return Brackets – Support return sections where traverse tracks curve back to the wall.

Mounting Requirements

Traverse brackets must anchor to solid framing wall studs, blocking, or structural ceiling members. Drywall-only mounting is insufficient for traverse systems due to dynamic loads.

Projection and Clearance

Traverse brackets require adequate projection to clear window casings plus space for the track mechanism and carrier travel. Typical minimum projections start at 4″ with deeper options for complex installations.
