Carriers

Morgik / Traverse Rods / Carriers
Carriers are the moving components that connect drapery fabric to traverse tracks, enabling smooth panel operation. Morgik supplies carriers engineered for our traverse systems – designed for quiet movement, durable service, and proper integration with decorative hardware. Every traverse system includes appropriate carriers for its specific configuration.

Carrier Types

Master Carriers – The lead carriers that connect to operating cords or batons. Master carriers drive panel movement and set the pace for all following carriers.
Secondary Carriers – Follow carriers that slide along the track behind the master. These distribute fabric evenly across the treatment width.
Overlap Carriers – Specialty carriers allowing panels to overlap at center-draw meeting points, preventing light gaps.
One – Way Carriers – Designed for single-direction draw where panels move to one side only.

Carrier Components

Stems – Vertical elements connecting to drapery hooks or rings.
Rollers or Glides – Contact surfaces that move along the track. Wheeled options for heavy treatments; glides for lighter applications.
Snap – In Clips – Some carriers feature clips for direct fabric attachment without hooks.

Track Compatibility

Carriers must match their specific track profile. Our carriers are designed for Morgik traverse tracks and are not interchangeable with other manufacturers’ systems.

When ordering replacement carriers or additional carriers for existing Morgik systems, specify your track type for proper matching.

Carrier Quantity

Carrier quantity depends on treatment width and pleat spacing. Standard spacing runs 3 to 4 inches between carriers for smooth draping. Our team can calculate quantities based on your panel specifications.

Maintenance

Carriers occasionally require cleaning or lubrication for optimal performance. We can provide maintenance guidance and replacement carriers for existing Morgik systems.
