Morgik offers an extensive library of finishes for custom drapery hardware, allowing you to coordinate rods, brackets, finials, and rings with any design palette. From bright polished brass to chemical patinas, every finish is applied by hand in our Paterson, New Jersey facility.
Our finish options span the full spectrum of metals and patinas available in steel, brass, stainless steel, and aluminum. We also provide custom color matching for specialty applications and historic restoration projects.
Finish Categories
Steel Finishes – Our steel and steel hardware accepts a wide range of treatments including chemical patina, rust patina, and over 50 hand painted colors. Each finish creates distinct visual character appropriate for different interior styles.
Stainless Steel Finishes – Polished to mirror brightness or brushed to a soft satin sheen. Stainless offers superior corrosion resistance for coastal environments and wet locations.
Brass Finishes – The warmth of brass suits both traditional and contemporary applications. Options include polished, brushed, oil rubbed or tarnished, unlacquered living finishes, and custom patinas.
Specialty Finishes – Custom color matching, faux finishes, and proprietary patinas developed for specific projects.
Living vs. Protected Finishes
Some designers prefer the evolving character of living finishes – unlacquered brass and natural iron that develop patina over time through handling and environmental exposure. Others require protected finishes with clear coats that maintain their initial appearance for years.
We offer both approaches and can advise on appropriate selections based on your application, client expectations, and maintenance considerations.

Viewing Finish Samples
Finish appearance varies with lighting conditions and can be difficult to evaluate from photographs alone. We recommend requesting physical samples for critical finish decisions. Sample are available for our most popular finishes.
