Terms and Conditions:
DeJong Ironworks (DJI), J Kaufman Iron Works (JKIW), Morgik Metal Designs (MMD), and Kaufman Manufacturing Group, Inc (KMG)
Sales Tax: Sales tax will be charged on all invoices unless a valid signed resale certificate, capital improvement certificate or other tax exempt certificate is supplied to KMG/JKIW/MMD/DJI. Sales tax will be charged on all REPAIR work regardless of above.
Permits: Price does not include any required filing, building permits or approvals from any agencies if required or any filing fees associated with same. Any filings are the responsibility of the owner, manager or contractor. KMG/JKIW/MMD/DJI does not advise on what types of jobs require permits, owner/contractor shall consult with their architect and applicable building codes. In the event filing and permits are required, KMG/JKIW/MMD/DJI will assist where possible and supply necessary documentation as requested where possible. This service may incur additional charges.
Shop drawings: Price does not include any shop drawings unless specifically included in proposal.
Unions: All estimates are based on non-union, non-prevailing wage labor unless otherwise stated. Installations and deliveries are quoted during normal work week hours: evening and weekend work will incur additional charges.
Access: Customer must provide access to all areas required for KMG/JKIW/MMD/DJI to perform our work. If we are delayed due to other contractors, building staff or other reasons not of our doing and are forced to come back to perform our work, additional charges will apply.
Returns: We do not accept returns on custom items. Stock items will be accepted if they are in same condition as when delivered and will be subject to a 25% restocking fee.
Warranty: We hereby warrant that all of the materials, as stated in the above referenced invoice, shall be free from defects in both workmanship and material for a period of one (1) full calendar year from the date of delivery or “Substantial Completion”. This warranty extends only to the direct purchaser from KMG/JKIW/MMD/DJI and is not transferable. We warrant to said purchasers to indemnify for loss due to defects in workmanship and materials in our product, such to the limitations stated herein. Said purchaser shall bear full liability under all consumer warranties they might extend. There are no warranties which extend beyond those that herein. This warranty shall be null and void, and all claims rising hereunder, or by operations of law, shall be waived if the products designated in the above referenced invoice are not installed and maintained pursuant to installation specifications and/or instructions as published by manufacturers. All consequential damages are hereby excluded. And in no event shall the liability of KMG/JKIW/MMD/DJI exceed the invoiced value as stated in the above referenced invoice. This warranty does not cover damages due to negligence, abuse, acts of God or any other forces beyond our control.
